Method Cycles:

Information:
Programs:     Coffee shop, Crafthouse, Bike shop
Location:     Lincoln, NE
Year:         Fall 2019 - Proposal (Freelance)

Project Brief:
Method Cycles’ owner felt their current space located on 11th Street housing a coffee shop, crafthouse, and bike shop was lacking space to grow. I gathered more information regarding their desires to encapsulate all three programs in to a new building. The new building could allow more space to expand as needed.

Wants/Needs:

1. Seperate bike shop space that would be visible from both the interior and exterior that could house more equipment.
2. Various seating styles to accommodate everyone’s needs.
3. Larger space and surface area to incorporate both the coffee shop and tap center.
4. Restore interior design elements.
5. A prepared basement design that will be completed at a later date.

Seating Information
1. A standard Dining Room Table is typically between 28 and 32 inches tall, with the average table being around 30″ in height. If you need an ADA-compliant table, it should be no taller than 34 inches. The distance between the bottom of the apron and the floor should be at least 27 inches for proper knee clearance

2.  Pub or Bar Height Tables range between 41 and 43 inches. The most common height is 42 inches, which is the standard height for a commercial bar.

Schematic Design:
After adressing the proper buildings codes for the space, schematic design began that incorporated updated building codes to the space. Later, that would house all three programs into a much larger space.
