Project Breif:
The trending shift of China’s increasing urbanization of its cities within the next 15 years has led to the trend of revitalizing ways to explore methods of Sustainable Urbanism as a focus point of their future agenda for 2030.
Context:
The proposed redevelopment site is located along the Jialing River in Chongqing, China. As a member of our design team learned during their trip to the area, the
site is home to many industrial buildings and residents. The area is known for its rural identity surrounded by significant urbanization efforts. Understanding the community, heritage, and place already present on-site is vital to the success of the proposed redevelopment principles and concept.
